Warmer, softer and closer to skin than the orange of a few years ago. Maya on the shade we cannot stop mixing.
Copper has spent a few years being loud. The version leaving our colour room this season is quieter: more rose, more brown, mixed to sit close to the skin tone rather than fight with it.
Maya builds it in two stages. A soft lift to a warm base, then a gloss mixed on the day to the client's complexion. 'Copper is one of the few shades that improves as it fades,' she says, 'as long as it was warm enough to begin with.'
It suits far more people than it is given credit for. The trick is in the depth, not the brightness.
